Daag Short Film Festival 2025
Organized by Daag, DSFF seeks to give space to the silenced, the unseen, and the brave, through stories that demand to be told. DSFF 2025 will take place this December in Kolkata.
1. Short films must be under 30 minutes in total runtime (including credits).
2. Films can be in any language, but English subtitles are mandatory for non-English dialogue.
3. All copyrighted content (music, footage, images) must be properly licensed.
4. Submissions must be the original work of the applicant.
5. Multiple entries are allowed, but each must be submitted separately.
6. Films already publicly released or published online are eligible too.
7. By submitting to DSFF, the filmmaker grants Daag the non-exclusive right to use the submitted film (in whole or in part), including clips, stills, and promotional material, for marketing, promotional, and archival purposes on its official media channels (including but not limited to social media, website, and event screenings).
8. While films exploring the central themes are preferred, entries outside them may still be considered if contextually relevant.
